Heather P. DeSaulniers 60, of Parrsboro, Cumberland Co. passed away suddenly on Saturday, March 6, 2010 at home. Born in Halifax, she was a daughter of the late John and Bernice (Manolopoulos) Cochrane. Heather was a graduate of St. Pat’s High School, Halifax. She later graduated from the Halifax Infirmary School of Nursing in 1969 and worked as an R.N. at the VG, Halifax and Kenneth E. Spencer Memorial Home in Moncton for many years. The time she enjoyed most was spent with her family, particularly her grandchildren. Also, she loved her dog Scooby who will miss her dearly. She is survived by her husband, John “Jackâ€; daughters, Michelle Walton (Bliss), Parrsboro; Marsha O’Neill, Moncton; a son, Michael (Angie), Halifax; 4 grandchildren, Brooke and Jasmine Walton; Jordan and Jonas O’Neill. She was predeceased by a brother, John “Jackie†in 1974.
Visitation 7-9 p.m. today [Wednesday] at Smith’s Funeral Home, Parrsboro. Funeral 11:00 a.m. Thursday at St. Brigid’s Catholic Church, Parrsboro, Father David MacDonald officiating.
