(nee Hynes) Passed peacefully away at St. Clare's Mercy Hospital on Friday, August 22, 2008, after a short, courageous battle with ALS, Lorraine Theresa Fowler, age 60 years. Predeceased by her parents, Matilda and Patrick Hynes and brother Walter. Left with fond and loving memories her husband of 40 years Stephen, three children Heather (Joseph, Kristin), Connie (Jeff) and Mark (Melissa); loving grandchildren Lauren, Brady, Haley, Kaleigh and Nelson; sisters Mary Thoms (Jim), Liz Sands (Doug), Veronica Howlett (Jerome), Cecilia Power (Terry) and Kate Hynes (Rick); brothers Wish (Toni), Pat (Mag) and Jim (Darlene); brothers and sisters-in-law Betty Barre (Tony), Gilbert Fowler (Ruby), Charlie Fowler (Barbara), Ella (Wally Fowler - deceased) and Billy Cyr (Alice); as well as a large circle of other relatives and friends. As a longtime babysitter and caregiver, Lorraine was thought of as a mother to many. A heartfelt thank you to the Doctors and Nurses of ICU, St. Clare's Hospital, for their loving care and support. Resting at Caul's Funeral Home, LeMarchant Road. Visitation Saturday and Sunday from 2 p.m. - 4 p.m. and 7 p.m. - 9 p.m. Funeral Mass on Monday, August 25th at 10 a.m. from St. Kevin's Church, Goulds. Cremation to follow with burial at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery. Flowers gratefully accepted or donations in her memory may be made to the ALS Society.
