JOHNSTON, BESSIE MAY
At the Dr. Chalmers Regional Hospital on March 11, 2010 Bessie May Johnston of Fredericton passed away at the age of 78. Born in Victoria Mills, NB , she was a daughter of the late John and Grace McArthur; wife of the late Harvey Johnston (June 24, 1984) and mother of the late Brian Johnston (May 13, 2004).
Bessie had a great love for her church, the beauty of flowers, was an awesome baker, but one of the true loves in her life was the special bond between she and her grandson Trevor.
She is survived by sisters Irene Boone, Shirley Ann Titus; brothers James (Marion), Melborne (Carol); grandson Trevor Johnston (Amy Hardy) of Lower Sackville, NS; great grandchildren Caitlin, Courtney and Cody Johnston of Lower Sackville, NS; daughter in law Debbie Johnston; nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her siblings Percy, John, Maurice, Robert, Maxie, Jane, Irvine, Doris and Brad.
Resting at Bishop’s Funeral Home 540 Woodstock Road, Fredericton with visitation on Sunday March 14, 2010 from 2-4 & 7-9 pm. The funeral service will be held at Bishop’s Funeral Home Chapel on Monday March 15, 2010 at 2:00 pm with Rev. Karl Ingersoll officiating. Interment will be held at a later date.
A special Thank You from the family to her niece Irma Irving husband David and the staff of Palliative Care at the DECRH for the care and attention shown to Nan throughout this difficult time.
