Passed peacefully away after a brief illness on March 15, 2010 at St. Clare’s Mercy Hospital, Jeanette Marie Adams (Gen Layman) founding member of the Cabot Athletic Association, age 74 years. Predeceased by her husband John (Jack) 1986; brothers: Mike, Paddy, Leo, John and Gregory; sisters: Bride, Angela and Irene. Leaving to mourn her sons: Mike (Janet), Dan (Lynn), John (Madeline), Kings Cove, Shannon (Lisa); daughter Holly (Paul) Chancey; her grandchildren whom she adored: John, Nichole, Zach and Caitlin Adams, Joshua and Noah Chancey; also her brothers: Wally, Ern (Carrie) Layman; sisters: Isabel Layman, Kay (Frank) Mayo; sisters-in-law: Violet Power and Dorothy Layman; brother-in-law Edward Adams; and a large number of nieces and nephews and friends. Resting at Caul’s Funeral Home, LeMarchant Road. Visitation Monday, March 15th, from 7 p.m. - 9 p.m. and Tuesday, March 16th, 10 a.m. - 9 p.m. Funeral Mass on Wednesday, March 17th at 9:30 a.m. from the Basilica of St. John the Baptist.
