London, Ont. At London Health Sciences Centre Victoria Hospital, London, Ont., on Friday, Jan. 9, 2009, Aldona Marie Bartlett (nee Barron) in her 61st year, surrounded by her loving family. She fought a courageous battle with breast cancer for nearly six years. She was the wife of Joseph Barry Bartlett. Cherished mother of Deanna (David) Perks, London, and John Joseph Bartlett, Oshawa. Proud grandmother of Nicholas John Perks. Dear sister of Dianne (Gary) Humphrey, Georgina Burke and Carmen Barron (Kevin) MacDonald, all of Nova Scotia. Dear niece of Leo (Alice) Barron, Sanford (Gussi) Baron, Isabel Barrett, Mary (Mamie) Peterson, Delores (Lowie) Peters and Edward T. Forgeron. Predeceased by her parents, Percy Andrew and Marie Genevieve (nee Forgeron) Barron of Cape Breton, N.S. Visitors were received at John T. Donohue Funeral Home, 362 Waterloo St., London, Monday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. and today (Tuesday), Jan. 13 at Summerside Community Church, 1447 Commissioners Rd. East, London, from 12 noon until the time of the funeral service at 2 p.m. Cremation with interment at a later date. Donations to the Pink Sensations Breast Cancer Survivor Dragon Boat Team, c/o Pat Slack, treasurer, 1750 Listowell Cres., Pickering, Ont., L1V 2Y3, would be appreciated. She touched so many hearts during her journey and loved so many people, that God needed her to help Him.
