It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Michael Wendell Allen of Bowmanville, ON, formerly of St. Martins, NB, after a brave battle against cancer. Born in Saint John on February 6, 1966, he was a son of Wendell and the late Barbara (McKee) Gallant. Michael was employed with GM Canada for over 17 years. In addition to his father, he is survived by his soul mate, Kerry Moore, daughter Michaela Moore-Allen, stepsons Kalvin Altpeter, Kolton Michael Allen (Moore), brothers Peter and Curtis Allen, mother and father-in-law Mike and Greta Orchard, as well as his stepfather, Lloyd Gallant, godmother Roberta Gillcrist, several aunts, uncles and cousins, and a niece and nephew. Michael was predeceased by his mother, paternal grandparents, Dean and Marie Allen, and maternal grandparents, Hartman and Flora McKee.
Arrangements are under the care and direction of Brenan’s Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John (634-7424). Visitation will be held from Holy Trinity Anglican Church, St. Martins on Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 PM from where the funeral service will be held from on Wednesday, March 24, 2010 at 1 PM. Interment will take place in Mosher Hill Cemetery.
