Emily Cornford passed away March 14, 2010 at North Sydney N.S. She was born March 27, 1941, to the late Robert and Olive (MacKeigan) Pickles of Sydney Mines. Emily, widow of the late Leonard Cornford is survived by two children, Gail and husband Arie Kranendonk, Robert and wife Gail Cornford: four grandchildren, Denica, Robert, Doug and Dawna; two great-grandchildren, Aidan and Gavin; a brother, James (Shirley) Pickles and sisters, Anna (James) O'Handley and Shirley Carruthers; sister-in-law, Georgina Pickles. She was predeceased by her brothers, Eldon and Harvey, Nieces, Cathy O'Handley and Linda Carruthers and nephew, George Pickles.
At Emily's request, cremation has taken place. A Memorial service will be held Saturday, March 27, 2010 at 1:30pm at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witness, 16 Doyle Dr, Oromocto, NB, Luncheon to follow. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or a charity of your choice.
