BARTALOS, Mary Philomene - 87, passed away on Sunday, March 14, 2010, in Yarmouth Hospital after a short illness. She was born October 12, 1922 in Wedgeport, N.S., the daughter of the late Nary and Georgine (Doucette) Doucette. She was married to Jules Bartalos and lived most of her life in Montreal and Toronto. She returned to Wedgeport in 1993 after the death of her husband. She was the last survivor of her immediate family. She is survived by her sister-in-law Bernice Doucette, Halifax; her nephews, Terrance, Jr. (Loretta), Wedgeport; Robert (Catherine), Halifax; George (Barbara), Halifax; Russell, Halifax; Joseph (Susan) and Gerard (Judy), both of Dartmouth; John (Rosella), Wedgeport, and her niece Georgine, of Yarmouth. Besides her parents and her husband, she was predeceased by her brothers, Terrance, George and Andrew. There was no visitation. The funeral mass was held at St. Michael’s Church in Wedgeport on Tuesday, March 16, 2010, at 11:00 A.M., Father Wieslaw Papuga officiated. Internment followed in St. Michael’s Parish Cemetery, Wedgeport. Arrangements were under the direction of H. M. Huskilson’s Funeral Home, Yarmouth.
