Entered into eternal life at St. Clare’s Mercy Hospital on March 23, 2010, Sister Kathrine Bellamy, age 86 years. Predeceased by parents William and Katherine (O’Flynn) Bellamy of Bay Roberts, Newfoundland, and her only brother William (Mabel) Bellamy. Leaving to mourn her Religious Congregation the Sisters of Mercy, especially Sister Mary Celine, special nephew Rev. William (Derrice) Bellamy; grandnephew David; grandniece Elizabeth; cherished great-grandniece Abigail; cousins in Newfoundland, USA and England; many friends and former students especially in the field of music. Waking at McAuley Convent, 250 Waterford Bridge Road, St. John’s on Tuesday, March 23rd 7-9 p.m. and Wednesday, March 24th until 9 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday, March 25, 2010, 9:30 a.m. at her second home the beloved Basilica of St. John the Baptist, Military Road with interment to follow at the Sisters of Mercy plot in Belvedere Cemetery. May she rest in peace.
