The passing of Lense Lenencieus Meyer, husband of the late Doris (Reid) Meyer, of Fredericton, NB, occurred on Monday, March 29, 2010 at the Oromocto Public Hospital. Born on April 29, 1925 in The Netherlands, he was a son of the late Wietse Lense and Fenjen (Bakker) Meyer. He was formerly a carpenter. Lense is survived by three sons, Bernard Reid (Hazel) of Hearts Delight, NF, Wietse Meyer of Thunder Bay, ON and Tony Meyer (Valerie) of Rusagonis, NB; five grandchildren, Teagan, Jeff, Chris, Susan and Kimberly; two great grandchildren, Andrew and Joshua; several nieces and nephews. In addition to his wife and parents, he was predeceased by his sisters, Klassein and Seine; brother, Wietse Meyer.
Visitation will take place at York Funeral Home, 302 Brookside Drive, Fredericton, NB on Wednesday, March 31, 2010 from 7 to 9 pm. A Funeral Service will be held from York Funeral Home’s T. Gordon MacLeod Memorial Chapel on Thursday, April 1, 2010 at 2 pm with Pastor Brent MacDonald officiating. Interment will take place in Rusagonis Baptist Cemetery.
