It is with heavy hearts, we announce the passing of our beloved mother, grandmother and great-grandmother who passed away at home on Friday, March 13, 2009, surrounded by her loving family.
Born in Sydney, she was the daughter of the late Violet and Gus King.
May was a member of Holy Redeemer Church, Sydney. She was an avid bingo player and enjoyed attending bingo with her bingo buddies at St. Philip’s Church.
May will be forever remembered and loved by her three children whom she loved and adored Karl (Cleo), Jerome and Darlene. She is also survived by her sisters, Ella (King) Axworthy, Dorothy (King) English; and a brother, Ed, all of Sydney; her five grandchildren, Corey, Chase, Elissa, Theo and Brianna and two great-grandchildren, D’Andre, Jamila, who were the love of her life.
She was predeceased by three brothers, John, Fred and Gerald King.
There will be no visitation as cremation has already taken place. The funeral service to celebrate her life will take place Wednesday, March 18 at Holy Redeemer Church 11 a.m. with Rev. Errol MacDonald officiating.
In lieu of flowers donations in May’s memory may be made to the Palliative Care Unit, or charity of choice.
