Passed peacefully away at the Health Sciences Complex on Tuesday, August 26, 2008, Dr. Leslie Harris, 1929-2008, formerly of St. Joseph's, Placentia Bay. Predeceased by his parents, Capt. James and Rachel (Bishop) Harris and his parents-in-law William B. and Mary Ann (Brown) Hewitt. Leaving to mourn his wife of 57 years Mary (Hewitt) Harris; sister Ruby (Wallace) Driscoll; brother Norman (Inez); sisters-in-law: Jean Harris, Elsie (Steve) Coffin, Trixie (Raymond) Heath, Joyce (Nehemiah) Cobb, Florence Hewitt, and Alma Hewitt; brothers-in-law: Arch, Ron (Becky) and Andrew (Ruby) Hewitt, Reginald Peckford and Bill Sceviour; as well as a large circle of nephews, nieces and other relatives and friends. Resting at Carnell's Funeral Home, 329 Freshwater Road. Visitation times and funeral arrangements to be announced later. Flowers will be gratefully accepted.
