The death occurred at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital on Monday, March 16, 2009 of Mrs. Marjorie E. Crockett of Charlottetown, age 91 years. Beloved wife of the late Ralph Crockett, and daughter of the late Ethel (Bawdick) and John Farrell of Halifax. She is survived by son Wayne (Olwin) of Charlottetown, sister Jean Margaret MacRae (nee Nicholson) of Dartmouth, NS, and several nieces and nephews. Besides her parents, she was predeceased by sisters Ruth Ethel Power (nee Nicholson) and Beth Mosher (nee Nicholson). Marjorie studied music at Mount Allison University and was an accomplished musician. She loved music and taught music in P.E.I. schools. She was employed at the Guardian for some years. She loved reading and had a great sense of humor. She lived in "today", not the past, and had an excellent memory. She lived at the Langille House in Charlottetown for the past few years and was very happy there. Marjorie will be sorely missed by those she left behind. Resting at the Cutcliffe Funeral Home from where the funeral service will be held in the funeral home chapel on Thursday at 2 p.m. Interment will take place at a later date in the family plot at Floral Hills Memorial Gardens, Pleasant Valley. Visiting hours at the funeral home on Wednesday 7 - 9 p.m. only. If so desired, memorial contributions in Marjorie’s name may be made to the Arthritis Society.
