GROSENICK
Alice Mary (Davis) Grosenick of Moose Jaw, passed away peacefully on March 12, 2009 at Ina Grafton Gage Home in her 100th year. Mom was born at Tilney, Saskatchewan on December 23, 1909. She was schooled at the one room school house at Tilney, completing her education at the Women's College in Regina. She married Otto Grosenick, her childhood sweetheart, in 1930 and they farmed together in the district for several years before retiring to Moose Jaw. Mom was a member of the Blue Hill United Church and a life member of the United Church Women. Family were her greatest treasure as were her many friends. She was particularly interested in what her grandchildren and great-grandchildren were doing. She enjoyed visiting and easily met new people in conversation. She was predeceased by her parents Bert and Mary Davis, her husband Otto (1992), son Larry (2002), an infant son, an infant granddaughter, daughter-in-law Yvonne Grosenick, her brothers, Ted (Gertie ) Davis, Fred (Evelyn) Davis, and Den Davis. She is lovingly remembered by her son; Don (Glenys) and their family Ron (Karen) Grosenick, Karen (Rod) Cunningham, Kathy (Duane) Nicholas, Susan (John) Dow; son Bob (Diana) and their family Dean (Joyce) Grosenick, Darrin (Brenda) Grosenick, Lisa Watt, Dawn Antherien, Mark (Charlotte) Almberg, Kevin (Catherine) Almberg; Larry's children Shannon (Ed) Fehr, Barbara Nash, Glen (Sherri) Grosenick and their mother Mary Ann Grosenick; many great –grandchildren; brother-in-law Jack (Jean) Grosnick, sister-in-law Ethel Grosnick; several nieces and nephews and many friends. The Funeral Service will be held at W.J. Jones & Son Chapel, Moose Jaw, Thursday, March 19, 2009 at 1:00 pm. Reverend Marilyn Keerak officiating. Interment will take place at a later date at the Blue Hill Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Ina Grafton Gage Home, 200 Iroquois St. E. Moose Jaw, S6H 4T3.
