The death occurred peacefully and surrounded by her loving family at the Prince County Hospital, Summerside, on Monday , March 16, 2009, of Mary Anne “Bregitte” Hashie (nee Gallant) of Summerside and formerly of St. Hubert, P.E.I., aged 89 years. Bregitte was born on Sept. 27, 1919, in Egmont Bay, P.E.I., to her late parents, Glorice and Baselice Gallant. Beloved wife of the late Clarence Hashie and loving mother of Albert (Zelma ), Edward (Norma), Adeline (David) Gallant, Simon (Nancy), Alma (Keith) Sigsworth, Linda (Don) Gallant, Melina Hashie and Maynard (Vicky). Also lovingly remembered by daughter-in-law, Marlene Hashie, her grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. Survived by her brother, Norman, and sisters, Madeleine, Irene, Rita and Therese. Besides her husband and her parents, Bregitte was predeceased by her children, Henry, David and Douglas, her granddaughter, Jocelyn Gallant, and her brothers and sister, Jean Pierre, Joseph, Elizabeth, John, Amand, Leo, Albenie and Augustine. Resting at East Prince Funeral Home, 245 Pope Rd., Summerside. Completed funeral arrangements to be announced later.
