November 29, 1948 - March 17, 2009. Passed gently away at the Health Sciences Centre surrounded by Doug, her loving and devoted husband, and her family. Rosalind is predeceased by her infant daughter Danielle, October 31, 1976; parents Japheth and Hilda Starkes and in-laws Clifford and Selma Stephens. Leaving to mourn her husband and best friend Doug; her family Herman Starkes (Judy), Audrey (Cecil Templeman), Noreen (Kevin Walsh), Ted Starkes (Betty), Peggy (Doug Colquhoun), John Starkes (Margie), Heather (John Janes), Cheryl (Allan Corbett), Connie (Jon Wiseman); sisters-in-law Sylvia (Robert Percival) and Debbie (Derrick Curtis); her 27 nieces and nephews who loved her dearly, along with many friends, relatives and country friends. A special thank you to Grant Gillard who while overcoming his own difficulties made her smile each evening when he stopped by to say good night. Resting at Barrett’s Funeral Home, 328 Hamilton Avenue, from 2-9 p.m. on Wednesday and Thursday; then from 10 a.m. - 12 noon on Friday. Funeral service to be held from Wesley United Church on Friday, March 20, 2009 at 2:00 p.m. Interment to follow at Mount Pleasant Cemetery.
