Born July 15, 1914 and raised in New Waterford, NS, she was the daughter of the late John and Mary (Littlewood) Barrows.
Surviving are daughters Phyllis MacGillivary (Bill), Dartmouth, Geraldine LaRocque (Bill Thayer), Ottawa; grandchildren Vince, Colleen, Joan, Kathleen, Jeanne, Danny, David and Brenda and nine great grandchildren.
She was predeceased by her loving husband Daniel in 1983; her beloved daughter Iris Heney (Mike), Ottawa in 2008; brothers Alfie and Arthur Barrows; sisters Hannah MacLeod and Lucy MacMillan.
