(May 15, 1944 - August 29, 2008) After a lengthy illness, died suddenly but peacefully at home. Leaving to mourn, with many precious memories, devoted wife Carole; loving children, Darrin, Stephen (Stephanie) and Lori (Glen Metcalfe); treasured grandchildren, Abby and Sam Gosse and Ian and Jillian Metcalfe; brothers, Les (Ivy) and Lloyd; sisters, Ruby, Jean and Marie; mother-in-law, Phyllis Squires; several brothers and sisters-in-law and their families; aunts and cousins as well as numerous friends, especially Louis Rixon. Predeceased by parents Moses and Annie, special friend and brother-in-law Victor Squires in April 2008. Visitation will be held at Carnell's Funeral Home, 329 Freshwater Road on Sunday, August 31 from 3: p.m. - 9:00 p.m. and on Monday, September 1 from 10:00 a.m.- 9 p.m. Funeral service will be held on Tuesday, September 2 at 2:00 p.m. from Holy Innocents Anglican Church, Paradise, followed by interment at Holy Innocents Anglican Cemetery, Paradise.
