The death occurred peacefully, surrounded by her loving family at the Souris Hospital on Sunday, March 22, 2009, of Margaret Elizabeth Jackson (nee MacKay) of Souris River, formerly of Fortune, in her 87th year. Beloved wife of 67 years of the late George Jackson. Loving mother of Doris Young, Georgina (Eddie) Downe, Vivian (Charlie) Blaisdell, Ethel (Eric) MacKenzie, Linda (Calvin) Creamer, Everett (LeeAnn). Sadly missed by grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren, daughter-in-law Helen Jackson, special niece Marcia Cairns, nephew Allan MacKay, brother-in-law Billy Jackson, sisters-in-law Dot Burhoe, Nora MacLeod and Thelma Dixon. Predeceased by infant daughter Lois, son Harold, sister Mary Dixon (MacKay), brother Willie MacKay, granddaughter Shelly Downe-O’Hanley, sisters-in-law Ruth MacKay, son-in-law Clinton Young, brothers-in-law Jimmy, Sellens, Lloyd, Johnnie, sister-in-law Lela MacDonald and nephew Bobby Cobb. Resting at the Dingwell Funeral Home in Souris for visiting hours on Thursday 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral to be held on Friday afternoon March 27, 2009, at the Bay Fortune United Church for funeral service at 2 p.m. Interment in the church cemetery.
