WALL - Peter M. Wall, age 77 years of Swift Current, passed away Thursday, March 19, 2009, at the Swift Current, Care Centre. The funeral service will be held at 1:00 P.M., Friday, March 27, 2009, from the First United Church, with Reverend Kevin Johnston officiating. The eulogist was his brother-in-law Larry Cingel and the ushers were Val Martens and Diane Cingel. The pallbearers were: Kevin Campbell, Ken Martens, Jake Piercey, Ted Shaheen, Mel Olson and Larry Cingel. The honorary pallbearers were: Lawrence Feil, Dave Halliday, Dave Ens, Philip Wall and Jim Heinrichs. The interment service was held at Memory Gardens Cemetery. Peter is survived by his sons: Jamie and Todd Wall; grandchildren: Brodie, Amber and Trelia; siblings: Henry Wall, Mary Werricke, Anna Nimestaer and Susie Braun; along with numerous nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his wife Lorraine J. Wall; a sister Margeret; and his parents Peter B. and Margaret Wall. Peter was born in the Blumenhof, SK, area on October 25, 1931. Peter farmed in the LacPelletier & Blumenhof district and he was united in marriage to Lorraine Cingel of Swift Current on April 17, 1965. Farming was his special interest and his hobbies included fishing, carpentry, cards & cribbage. He enjoyed taking his sons to hockey, watching hockey, visiting and joking around. He loved helping others out with their problems. He could restore or repair anything. One of his favourite sayings was "Too Far Passed Sixteen" and then would laugh.
