It is with sadness that we announce the sudden passing of George Victor Campbell, 53, at home on March 24, 2009.
Born in New Waterford, George was the son of Dorothy (Woodland) Campbell and the late George Campbell.
His family moved to the United States when George was a child. He worked as a truck driver until he retired due to health reasons. He returned to New Waterford where he made many friends who will miss him.
He is survived by his mother, Dorothy, Hudson, N.H.; brothers, Gary and Grant, Ontario, Guy, California; sisters, Gail (Mrs. John Costello), Hudson, N.H., Gloria (Mrs. Darren Peters), New Glasgow, N.S.; niece, Stephanie and nephews, Joshua, John, Matthew and Glen.
George was predeceased by his father, George; brothers, Glen, Gordon and a sister, Glenda.
Cremation has taken place under the direction of V.J. McGillivray Funeral Home, 380 Smith St., New Waterford. There will be no visitation or funeral service by request.
Donations in his memory may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Nova Scotia or a charity of choice.
