Passed peacefully away in the presence of his family at James Paton Memorial Hospital, Gander, after a lengthy and courageous battle with cancer, on March 24, 2009, Earl Budgell of Glovertown (formerly of Buchans and Grand Falls), age 68. Predeceased by parents Baxter and Annie and brothers William, Eric and Wayne. Leaving to mourn his wife of 42 wonderful years, Joan (nee O’Brien), daughter Carol (Randy), son Tom (Carol), grandchildren Sarah and Brett, brother Howard (Celie), as well as a large circle of family and friends, especially Cathy, Robert and family of Grand Falls-Winsor. Earl lived life to the fullest, taking pleasure in each new day, whether he was salmon fishing, in cutting wood, setting rabbit slips or moose hunting, His family was his pride and joy. Cremation has taken place. 
Visitation at Caul’s Funeral Home, LeMarchant Road, St. John’s to take place Thursday, March 26th from 2 p.m. - 4 p.m. and 7 p.m. - 9 p.m. A Memorial Service to celebrate his life will take place on Friday, March 27th at 11 a.m. from Caul’s Chapel. Interment at a later date on Bell Island. Flowers gratefully accepted or donations in his memory may be made to Daffodil Place or the Canadian Cancer Society.
