November 24, 1938 - March 19, 2009. Passed peacefully away after a difficult battle with colon cancer, at her home in Bedford, NS formerly of Clattice Hr., NW, PB. Predeceased by mother, Lucy (1985), father, Ted (1999), sister Mildred Benteau (1978), brother Felix (2001), step-mother Lucy (Hickey) (2005) ,sister Evelyn (December 2008). Marian is survived by her beloved family: husband Ken and children Sean and Leah; sisters and brothers: Fergus (Christine), Vancouver; Phyllis, Toronto; Jim, Southern Hr; Yvonne (Jim Cahill) St. John's; Bride (Francis Fennell), Red Cliff BB; Geraldine, Port Coquitlan BC; and Eugene (Cindy Clarke), Hay River, NWT., nieces and nephews: Susan and Andy Cahill, and Amanda and Melissa Smith; the Hickey family; her many friends in CWL; and numerous friends and relatives in Newfoundland and Nova Scotia. A mass of celebration of her life was held at St. Thomas More Church, Dartmouth NS on Monday, March 23. By her request, cremation has taken place and she will be laid to rest in St. John's NL a later date.
