She resided with her husband in Sydney and Dartmouth, St, John's, NL, Ottawa and Kingston, Ont., and then back to Halifax as a widow in 2002. Therese left a trail of unconditional love wherever she lived. Since 2005, she has enjoyed the love and dedication of her fiancé, Herb Lustig, of Sarasota, Fla. and for which her family is eternally grateful for his compassion and assistance. These included The Red Cross, The United Way, Kidney Foundation of Canada, Nova Scotia Branch, Heart and Stroke Foundation of Nova Scotia, Christmas Exchange and The Ovarian Cancer of Canada, for which she is past co-chair of the Walk of Hope.
