It is with great sadness that we acknowledge the sudden passing of our "Beth" on August 19, 2008. Beth was a loving mother, partner, daughter and sister. Leaving to mourn with fond and cherished memories are her son Craig (Vancouver, B.C.), long time devoted partner Zahur Jamel (Calgary, Alberta), mother and step-father Roberta (nee Matthews) and Peter Dawson (Duncan, B.C.), father Arthur Lawson, sisters Kim Lawson and Carolyn Dawson (partner Curtis Kirwan), nephew Andrew Nash, and family extending across Canada, the United States, and the U.K.. Beth was born in St. John's, NL, on April 7, 1967. Beth moved to Ontario where she completed a Certificate of Business Management at Ryerson University and later moved to Calgary where she successfully obtained the Certified Management Accountant designation. Beth will be missed by a wide circle of friends as everyone fell in love with Beth's warm and vibrant nature the moment they met her. Beth will always be remembered for the way that she put the needs of others before her own, her perseverance and hard work, but most of all, we will remember the way that she made us laugh. Funeral services took place on August 24, 2008, at McInnis and Holloway, Park Memorial Chapel, Calgary, Alberta. Beth has been buried in Forest Lawn Cemetery, Vancouver, B.C. where she will remain close to her family.
