Trueman (Nick) Carter age 78, of Ontario and formerly of Amherst passed away Tuesday, March 10, 2009 in Ontario. Born in River Philip, he was a son of the late George and May (Rushton) Carter. Nick was survived by his wife Patricia, brother Duncan (Judy) Carter of Amherst Head and sister Dora (Eugene) Chapman of Enfield, NS and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by three sisters Winnie Hope, Inez Sharpe and Leona May Richards and one brother Borden Carter. Memorial service was held in Whitby, Ontario on Saturday, March 14, 2009. Memorial donations in Nick's memory may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society through Campbell's Funeral Home, Amherst. (667-9906)
