MILDRED HOEGI
March 5, 1923 – March 27, 2009
Mildred Gena (nee Erickson) Hoegi, age 85, of Mont St. Joseph Nursing Home passed away on Friday, March 27, 2009. Mom was born and raised in the Script area on December 5, 1923. She married Donald Hoegi in 1950. Over the years, Mom belonged to many clubs and organizations. She was a life-time member of the Royal Canadian Legion Auxiliary. Mom worked at the Rose Valley Union Hospital and upon our move to Prince Albert she continued working at the Lions Victoria Hospital and then the Herb Bassett Nursing Home as a SCA. We enjoyed many fun times at Greenwater and Weyakwin Lakes. She was predeceased by her husband Donald in 1994; her brothers Ivan, Ernest, Elmer, Orville, Raymond Erickson; her sisters Gladys Butler and Irene Berg. Mildred is survived by her loving family: her daughter Donna Fusick [grandchildren Greg and Alynne (Mark)]; her son Wes (Ros) Hoegi [grandchildren Mark (Angie) Hoegi, Lisa (Derek) Richmond, Sarah (Scott) Reed]; her daughter Colleen (Harvey) Aadland [grandchildren Chris Schigol, Heidi Aadland]; eight great-grandchildren; her brothers and sister Gordon, Lester, Donald and Dora Erickson. Funeral Service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, March 31 from River Park Memorial Chapel. Reverend Tony Thompson will officiate. It is the family’s request that those wishing to place memorials may do so to the Mont St. Joseph Foundation. Interment will take place in the Garden of Devotion, Prince Albert Memorial Gardens. The family would like to give special thanks to the staff of Mont St. Joseph Nursing Home for the excellent care given to our mother.
