Sutherland, Ruby Louise - 64, Truro passed away March 30, 2009 at home. Born in Musquodoboit, she was a daughter of the late Lawson and Ella Joudrey. Ruby was a former member of the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses. Her hobby was collecting butterflies and magnets. She enjoyed listening to Charlie Pride music, but her greatest joy was spending time with her grandchildren and family. She is survived by her loving companion of 17 years, Will; son, Tim (Tammy), Hilden; daughters, Janie Sutherland, Alberta, Tanya (Alex) Page, Brookfield; sisters, Iris Janes, Winnie Lemmon, Effie Graham, all of Truro; brother, Russell (Julia) Joudrey, Truro; grandchildren, Nickole, Timothy, Ryan, Megan, Mitchell, Bria, Allie, Cassie; great granddaughter, Braylin Ruby Jayne; several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by grandson, Colby. Visitation will be held on Friday from 1- 2 pm with a memorial service at 2:00 pm, both in Colchester Community Funeral Home, 512 Willow Street, Truro with Rev. Lloyd Baker officiating. Spring interment in Pine Grove Cemetery, Stewiacke East. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Canadian Diabetes Association or the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Nova Scotia.
