Fraser, Eileen Agnes – 87, East Cumberland Lodge, Pugwash and formerly of East New Annan, passed away April 1, 2009 in the Lodge. Born in Brooklyn, New York, she was a daughter of the late William and Eileen (Hutchinson) Fraser. Eileen worked in New York for Avon Products Inc. for 18 years in the accounting department. After retiring, she moved to Nova Scotia and became active in her new community as a member and secretary of the Fraser Cultural Society, and served for a few years as President of the New Annan Community Club. She liked to have Christmas parties at her home for the Community Club and Church members. She liked to do handwork such as knitting, crochet and embroidery. Surviving is a niece, Janet Del Gudice, Yonkers, N.Y.; nephew, William Fraser, N.Y.; good friends, Judy Lepper and Charlotte Purdy; her beloved cat, “Honey”. She was predeceased by her sister and brother-in-law, Jean and Philip Tracy; brother, William Fraser. Visitation will be held 7-9 p.m. today in Coulter’s Funeral Home (657-3288) 48 Riverside Dr., Tatamagouche, N.S. B0K 1V0. Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Saturday, April 4 in Central New Annan United Baptist Church, Pastor Darrell Dykens officiating. Burial will be at a later date in Tatamagouche Mountain Cemetery. Memorial donations can be made to North Shore Health Services Foundation or Colchester SPCA.
