Passed away peacefully on April 2nd, 2009 at the Health Sciences Centre with his loving family by his side, Brian Bennett, age 61 years. Predeceased by his father and mother, Charles and Jessie Bennett, brother Bernie. Leaving to mourn his devoted wife Patty (nee Godden), their daughter Teri; daughters Elizabeth (Geoff Coughlan), Catherine, Heather and their mother Carol; brothers; Joe (Annette), St. John’s, Ed (Millie) Goulds, Peter (Sadie), Gerry (Evelyn) and sister Janet MacLean (Gerard) of Nova Scotia; father and mother-in-law Bob and Marg Godden, Goulds; brother-in-law Terry Godden (Wanda); sisters-in-law: Cindy Finn (Tony), Bobbi-Lynn Godden (Darryl), Goulds; aunts: Edna Pretty, St. John's and Ina Newhook, C.B.S., also a large number of nieces, nephews and cousins. Brian was a founding member of the Gould’s Volunteer Fire Department and also served as Fire Chief. He leaves a large circle of friends and associates too numerous to mention. Resting at Barrett’s Funeral Home, 328 Hamilton Avenue, on Friday and Saturday from 10 a.m. - 9 p.m. Cremation to take place on Sunday. Funeral Mass will be held at St. Kevin’s Church at 10 a.m. on Monday, April 6th, 2009. Interment to follow at St. Kevin’s Cemetery.
