We regret to announce the peaceful passing of Elfreda Gladys Webster, age 88, from Monroe at the Bonavista Hospital, Bonavista on April 1, 2009. Predeceased by husband George; daughters: Shirley Cooper (James - deceased) and Martha Louise and son Noah. Leaving to mourn with many fond and loving memories are her children: George (Dorothy), Annie Rodgers (Alex), Edmund (Mildred), Maisie (Bill Maidment), Calvin (Patricia), Geneva (Harvey Wiseman), Randell (Wanda), Brendon (Viola), Wanda (Paul Collins), Joyles (Dorothy) and Brenda (Allan); 31 grandchildren; 34 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great-grandchild; brother Whitfield McGrath (Nina) and a large circle of other relatives and friends. Resting at St. Mary’s Anglican Church from where the funeral service, officiated by Rev. Jessie Broaders, will take place on Friday, 2:00 p.m. with interment following at the Anglican Cemetery, Monroe. Funeral arrangements entrusted to Vardy’s Funeral Home, Random Island.
