Peacefully passed away on Thursday, July 3rd, 2008 at the Dr. Georges L. Dumont Hospital, Moncton. Myrna's life was diverse in giving to others with several years’ volunteer service with the Codiac RCMP, public speaking with Toastmasters, and attending to others by providing professional home and hospital care, as well as raising three sons. She was an active businesswoman involved in the family music store, Musicland, raising and showing champion dogs, and as a private hairstylist. She enjoyed spending family time with her grandchildren and creative endeavours with music, painting, crafting, home renovating and travels. She is survived by her sons; Bill and Peter of Australia, Dan (Jill) of Moncton, and step-daughter Laurena (Joe) of Boston, sisters Karen Scott (Lloyd) of Calgary, Gail Calder (late Dennis) of Halifax, Brenda Mullins (Sonny) of Moncton, grandchildren Tully, Iian, Laurena Ann, and Veronica and several nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles. Myrna was pre-deceased by her parents Ernest and Edith (Johnson) Brown, her husband Joseph and granddaughter Zoe. A celebration of life service was held on Monday, July 7th, at Fair Haven Funeral Home, Reverend Donald Calder (nephew) officiating. Interment in Fair Haven Memorial Gardens, Moncton. Memorial donations may be made to The Canadian Diabetes Association, the Canadian Cancer Society, or charity of choice.
