It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Barbara Lynn MacNeil of Cheverie, N.S. at the QEII hospital on Friday, March 8,2007. Born in Sackville, N.B., she was the daughter of the late Norman and Jean (Adams) Wry. She is survived by Leon, her loving husband of 30 years; son Todd (Tracy) and daughters Sheri (Ian) Mac Neil-McBride and Alana (Peter) Geddes; grandchildren Kyle, Brianna, Alex and Marina. Also surviving are sisters Nancy (Robert) Tower, Helen (John) McKay and brother Norma (Gayle) Wry; nieces Vicki, Beth, Lindsay and nephews Brent, Brook, Jeffrey and Nathan; and several great nieces and nephews. Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her brother Harry. Barbara was a gifted artist working in several media; acrylic paint, lead, pen and ink as well as an accomplished seamstress and inventive gourmet cook. She had great love for nature and enjoyed all the birds and animals big and small that lived around the household property. She was loved by many and will be sorely missed by all. In lieu of flowers, donations in Barbara's memory can be made to the Canadian Cancer Society. Internment and Memorial Service to be held in Sackville, New Brunswick in the spring.
