DORCHESTER, N.B. - Suddenly, at her home in Dorchester, Evelyn Reid, age 72, passed away on Sunday, April 8, 2007. Born in Rockport, N.B., she was a daughter of the late Alonzo and Roberta (McPhee) Tower. She will be sadly missed by her four daughters, Nancy (John) Leaman, Dorchester, Debbie (Fred) Johnson and Heather (Robert) Reid, both of Sackville, and Mary (Gary) Bowes, Petitcodiac, N.B.; son Gary (Lorraine) Reid of Dorchester; 12 grandchildren, Brian, Mark, Leigh, James, Patrick, Gary, Ryan, Craig, Zachery, Trevor, Tyler and Jason; several great grandchildren; two special nieces, Pauline Milner and Sherry Gillespie; brothers, Keith (Barb), Dorchester, Leon (Isabelle), Sackville, Terry (Linda), P.E.I., Victor (Marlene), Jolicure; sisters Wendy (Joseph) Knockwood, Dorchester, Lorna (Charles) Cawdle, Sackville, Phyllis Milner, British Settlement, Madge (Harold) Coyle, ON. She was predeceased by her husband Laurie and her daughter Patty. Arrangements were entrusted to the Jones Funeral Home, 70 Bridge St., Sackville, NB (364-1300) where visiting hours took place Monday from 7 to 9 p.m. and Tuesday, April 10, 2007 from 11 a.m. until the time of the funeral at 1 p.m, Rev. Terry Branscombe officiating. Burial will take place in the Dorchester Cemetery at a later date.
