HERBISON, LOIS (Allen) of Sarnia passed away on Thursday, July 31, 2008 at the age of 90 years. Beloved wife of the late Tremaine McGlashing (1965) and the late William Herbison (1986). Dear mother of Mrs. Jean MacKeigan of New Brunswick and the late Carter Allen McGlashing (1992). Loving sister of Roger (Anna) Allen of Sarnia. Mother-in-law of Sandra McGlashing of Corunna, and grandsons Craig and Corey. Predeceased by her brothers and sisters Oscar (Faye), Dorothy (Thornton) Ogden, Phyllis, Victor, Horace and Malcolm. Sister-in-law to Eileen Allen of Sarnia. Special grandmother of Jean and Tracey McGlashing and their mother Cheryl. Great-grandmother of Daniel, Michael, Devon and Brooke. Also survived by many nieces and nephews in Ontario and Nova Scotia. Lois was a faithful member of Four Square Church (Talfourd Street) and spent her whole life serving the Lord. Visitation was held at the Stewart Funeral Home, 254 George Street, on Friday, Aug. 8, 7-9 p.m. and Saturday, Aug. 9, 1-2 p.m. The Funeral Service was held in the chapel of the Stewart Funeral Home on Saturday, Aug. 9, at 2 p.m. with Rev. David Hardman officiating, assisted by Lois’s nephew Rev. Dan Allen. As an expression of sympathy, memorial donations may be made to the Canadian Diabetic Association or the Gideon Bible Society.
