John Crawford of Moncton passed away at The Moncton Hospital on Wednesday, March 12, 2008. Born in Sackville, N.B., on Sept. 29, 1925, he was the son of the late Basil and Frances R. (Hicks) Crawford. John was a Veteran serving overseas during the Second World War, and retired from the CNR following many years of service. He is survived by his sister-in-law, Joyce Crawford; nephews Kim, Craig, Michael, Murray, Donald, and Bill; and a niece Beth. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by brothers Robert and Donald, and sister Dorothy. The remains rested at Fair Haven Funeral Home. Visitation was held on Saturday, March 15, from 10-11 a.m. The funeral service was held in the funeral home chapel at 11 a.m., followed by a reception in the Garden View Room. Interment in Fair Haven Memorial Gardens, Field Of Honor. Donations in memory of John may be made to the memorial of the donor's choice.
