Pye, Grace Ann, 53, passed away peacefully at the Cumberland Regional Heath Care Centre on Monday, December 29, 2008. Born in Amherst, she was the daughter of Bertie (Chapman) O’Blenis and the late Albert O’Blenis. She will be sadly missed by her husband Robert C. Pye, Salem; daughters – Janice Coates (Dale) of Stanley, Louise Pye (Leon), Nappan; son, Robert Pye (Tina), Nappan; five grandchildren; sisters Gladys (John) Ellis, Joyce O’Blenis (Bob) and Helen O’Blenis (John), Amherst; brother Albert O’Blenis (Charlene), Amherst; a number of nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts and uncles. Besides her father she was predeased by daughter Bertie in infancy; maternal grandparents Hibbert and Gladys Chapman; and paternal grandparents John and Ida O’Blenis. Cremation has taken place, service was held Friday, January 2, 2009 in Allens Funeral Home. Interment in St. Thomas More Roman Catholic Cemetery, Pugwash, with beloved Uncle Hedley Chapman as urn bearer.
