Malden, N.B. – While surrounded by his loving family, Roger Fields, age 58, of Malden, passed away peacefully at the Moncton City Hospital on Monday, January 21, 2008. Born in Sackville, he was a son of the late Job and Agnes (Pauley) Fields. Roger has been a truck driver since he was 17. He’s been with Strang’s Produce for the last 20 years. Over the years he came to know many people who liked and respected him as a person and as a truck driver. He will be sadly missed by his wife Mary; three brothers, Hinson (Connie), Moncton, Gary (Judy), Murray Corner and Derek, North West Territories; two sisters, Alein (Harold) Trenholm, Portage Vale, NB, Chyrl Fields, Murray Corner; several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his sister Kathleen. Arrangements have been entrusted to the Jones Funeral Home, 3 West Main St., Port Elgin (538-2241). A Memorial Service will be held at St. Bartholomew’s Roman Catholic Church on Wednesday, January 23, 2008 at 11 a.m., Father Michael Toner officiating. Cremation has taken place. Burial will take place in the St. Bartholomew’s Parish Cemetery in the spring.
