Ronald Shea
Ronald SheDorchester, N.B. – Ronald Shea, age 77, died peacefully at the Sackville Memorial Hospital, surrounded by his loving family. Born in Dorchester, he was a son of the late Russell and Osithe (Dupuis) Shea. A lifelong farmer, he was formerly employed with NBEPC for 18 years. Ronald was a member of St. Vincent's Roman Catholic Church. A firefighter, he was a 28-year member of the Dorchester Volunteer Fire Department. Ronald will be long remembered and sadly missed by his wife of 54 years, the former Claudette Landry, Dorchester; three sons, Michael, Dorchester, Patrick (Heather), Riverview and Ronald Jr. (Corine Burke), Amherst; three daughters, Marilyn (Fred Jr. (Teddy)) Wheaton, Dorchester, Bernice (Marcel) Shea-Doiron, Dorchester, Liza (Mike) Sears, Dorchester; special former daughter-in-law, Linda Bourgeois, Dieppe; 11 grandchildren, Carine, Lance, Courtney, Cody, Robb, Ashley, Brandon, Adam, Jillian, Megan and Conrad; two brothers, Charles (Jeanine) Moncton and Everett (Deborah), Middleton; three sisters, Alice (Wayne) Crossman, Florida, Margaret Milton, Edmonton, AB, Catherine Shea, Dorchester. He was predeceased by brothers, Larry, Joseph and a sister, Sister Theresa. Ronald's remains have been entrusted into the care of the Jones Funeral Home, 70 Bridge St., Sackville (364-1300) with visitation held on Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. A funeral mass will be celebrated on Wednesday, Nov.12, 2008, at 2 p.m. from St. Vincent Roman Catholic Church, Sackville. Private family burial in the St. Edward's Cemetery, Dorchester at a later date.
