Sackville, N.B.- It is with sadness that the family of Ronald T. Babcock announce his passing on Thursday, February 26, 2009, at the Sackville Memorial Hospital. Ronald was 86 years of age. Born on October 12, 1922, Ronald was the son of the late Trueman and Mae (Richardson) Babcock. Ronald was employed, until his retirement, with NBTel and he loved his job as a linesman. He was a former member of the Masonic Lodge and a lifetime member of the Royal Canadian Legion, Branch #26, Sackville. Ronald loved camping, especially in his trailer on the trips with his wife Eileen. He was a loving husband, father, uncle and friend. Ronald will be sadly missed by his wife of 55 years, Eileen (Estabrooks) Babcock; his son, Allan Babcock; niece, Joy and nephew Sandy. He was predeceased by his two sisters, Muriel Babcock and Frances Hendrickson. Arrangements have been entrusted to Campbell’s Funeral Home, 89 Bridge Street, Sackville, N.B. (364-8188). Visitation took place on Monday, March 2, 2009, from 7-9 p.m. The Royal Canadian Legion, Branch #26, held a service at 1:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The funeral service was held on Tuesday, March 3, 2009, at 2 p.m., from the funeral home with Father Kevin Stockall officiating. Burial will take place in the spring in the Four Corners Cemetery.
