The funeral service for Ernest Raymond White was held from the Chapel of Sussex Select Community Funeral Home, Sussex, N.B. on Wednesday, December 14, 2008. Officiating was Rev. Dr. Leo Gallant. The eulogy was by Tom Johnson. The organist and soloist was Anne Williams. The hymns were The Prayer, How Great Thou Art, Wind Beneath My Wings and It Is Well. Floral tributes received included those from management and staff of P.C.S., P.C.S. Mill Production “D” Crew, Korea Veterans’ Association, Sharp’s Drug Store, Sussex Branch#20 Royal Canadian Legion, as well as family and friends. Donations in Ray’s memory were given to the Canadian Cancer Society, Heart and Stroke Foundation, Sussex Health Center, Trinity Church, Sussex, The Gideon’s, St. James United Church, Petitcodiac, Springhill United Baptist Church, Sussex Baptist Church and the United Baptist Women’s Missionary Union. A reception was held at the funeral home following the service. Interment was in Westcock Cemetery, Sackville, N.B. A special thank you to Tom Johnson and pallbearers, also Ray’s friends who met the family at the cemetery for his final farewell.
