Edith M. Noiles AMHERST – The death of Edith May Noiles, age 86, of Amherst, passed away peacefully on Monday, August 25, 2008 at the Cumberland Regional Health Care Centre. Born in Amherst, she was a daughter of the late Lloyd and Alice (Desroches) Coulson. Edith was a lifelong soldier of the Salvation Army. She was active in her church as a Sunday School teacher and a supporter of the Junior Soldiers. She loved to listen to the old hymns and sing along, especially in the car. She will be sadly missed by her children, Ken (Patricia) Davis, Port Williams, NS, Frank (Keitha) Davis, New Ross, NS, Kay Wagge, Moncton, NB, Shawn (Mary Ann) Wagge, Amherst; 6 grandchildren, Andrew, Heather, Peter, Katherine, Rebecca and Ashley; 3 great grandchildren, Justin, Shayne and Lyndsi; brother, Ray (Rachel) Coulson, Amherst; sister, Florence Goodwin, Amherst and Vivian (Reg) Morris, Lower Sackville, NS. She was predeceased by her husbands Russell Davis, Frank Wagge and Stanley Noiles; a sister Hazel Goodwin; a brother Hazen Coulson. Arrangements have been entrusted with the Furlong~Jones Funeral Home, 70 Church St, Amherst, NS, (902-667-8777) where visiting hours were held on Tuesday from 7 to 9 pm. The funeral was held at the Furlong~Jones Funeral Home on Wednesday, August 27, 2008 at 3 pm, Major Max Snow officiating, followed by a committal in the Amherst Cemetery.
