Frances M. Bennett, 91, of Fox River, Cumberland County passed away Friday, September 5, 2008 at South Cumberland Community Care Centre, Parrsboro. Born in Fox River, she was a daughter of the late Carl and Martha (Hatfield) Shaw. She is survived by a daughter, Laurine Pettis, Ward' s Brook; a son, Peter (Ellen), Parrsboro; half sister, Barbara Bishop, Okotoks, Alberta; half brother, Keith Graham (Norma), Fox River; 8 grandchildren; 19 great grandchildren; 8 great-great grandchildren. She was predeceased by her first husband, Vincent Pettis; her second husband, Bernard Bennett; a brother, Carl Shaw; half brother, Donald Graham; step-sisters, Jessie Colpitts; Ethel Gaw; step brothers, Harold Graham; George Graham. Funeral service 2 p.m. Wednesday [September 10, 2008] at Smith's Funeral Home, Parrsboro, Rev. Tory Byrne and Rev. Greg Doyle officiating. Burial in the Fox River Anglican Cemetery.
