Janice Muriel Martin age 65, of Amherst and formerly of Oxford passed away peacefully on Tuesday, May 13, 2008 at Cumberland Regional Health Care Centre, Upper Nappan, N.S. Born in Springhill, she was a daughter of the late Clifford and Vida (Mooring) Matheson. Janice was a homemaker who loved her family. She enjoyed reading and cooking. She is survived by her husband Andrew, two daughters Mildred (Eugene Glavin) Weatherbee of Crediton, Ont., and Shelley (Gary) Weatherbee of Oxford, four sons Kenny (Susan) Patriquin of Amherst, Bruce Patriquin of Burnaby, B.C., Mike (Janice) Patriquin of Exeter, Ont. and Shawn Patriquin of Moncton, N.B., twelve grandchildren Christina, Joshua, Shawna, Tanya, Bradley, Joseph, Jessica, Alley, Mark, Shawn, Chandler and Jayden, five great grandchildren Sarah, Alex, Alisha, Mason and Taesha, three sisters June (Daniel) Wood of River Phillip, Gail Matheson of Red Deer, Alberta and Eleanor (Doug) Piers of Pugwash, two brothers Edwin (Dyan) Matheson of Streets Ridge, Ritchie (Carol) Matheson of Little River and several nieces and nephews. Janice was predeceased by a son Mark and a brother Bruce. Cremation has taken place.There will be no visitation. Funeral service will be held on Saturday, May 17, 2008 at 10 a.m. from Campbell's Funeral Home, 98 Church St., Amherst (667-9906) with Rev. Jeff Goodwin and Rev. Raymond Fancy officiating. Interment will follow in the Amherst Cemetery.Donations in Janice's memory may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society, Canadian Diabetic Association or the charity of your choice. www.campbells-amherst.ca
