Kim Wry

Surrounded by her loving family, Kim Wry, passed away suddenly at the Cumberland Regional Health Care Centre on Monday, November 3, 2008. Born in Collingwood, Ontario, she was a daughter of the late Maurice and Dorothy (Warden) Bent. Kim worked with Canada Post, Amherst and Springhill for over 20 years. She was the president of the Zonta Club, Amherst and secretary for the Amherst Rambler Alumni. An avid hockey fan, she volunteered with many of her son's and brother's hockey teams. She was a member of the Christ Church, Anglican Church, Amherst. Kim will be sadly missed and always remembered by her husband, John; daughters, Krista (Matthew) Faulkner and Darcey; son, Josh; granddaughter, Faith; brothers, Jack (Gail), Jim (Tracy), Greg, Buddy (Michelle) and George (Jill); nephews and nieces; brothers-in-law, Ronnie (Cindy), Michael (Karen) and Brian (Denise); sisters-in-law, Arlene (Stephen) Jones and Sandra (John) Cullen; nephews and nieces. Kim's remains have been entrusted into the care of the Furlong Jones Funeral Home, Church St. Amherst. Arrangements have been entrusted to the Furlong~Jones Funeral Home, 70 Church St., Amherst, NS (902-667-8777). A memorial service will be held at the Christ Church, Amherst on Thursday, Nov. 6, 2008 at 2 p.m., reception to follow. Friends and family were invited to a time of visitation at the Furlong Jones Chapel, 68 Church St., Amherst on Wednesday, from 7 to 9 p.m. Donations to the Amherst Rambler Alumni Association, or charity of the donor's gratefully appreciated.
