Marie Elise Malley, Amherst passed away on Friday, January 2, 2009 at Cumberland Regional Health Care Centre, Upper Nappan. Born in Amherst, she was a daughter of the late Tilman and Domithilde (Comeau) Landry. Marie was the last surviving member of her immediate family. She will be sadly missed and fondly remembered by son, Roy, three grandchildren; four great grandchildren; nieces and nephews; also a very special niece. Connie LeBlanc, who faithfully attended Marie's, needs with daily home visits (often twice daily) for more than two decades, and many visits while Marie was hospitalized. Marie was predeceased by her husband, William; sisters Jennie Rushton, Edmay LeBlanc and Yvonne in infancy; as well as brothers, Gilbert and Henry. In keeping with Marie's wishes, there will be no visitation. Cremation has taken place under the care and direction of Campbell's Funeral Home, 98 Church St., Amherst (667-9906) A funeral service will be celebrated on Friday, January 9, 2009 at 9:30 a.m. from Holy Family Roman Catholic Church, Amherst with Father Vernon Driscoll officiating. Interment will take place at a later date in the St. Charles-Nativity Cemetery. Family flowers only.
