It is with great sadness we announce the death of Richard Norman Dwyer age 35, of Maccan, Cumberland County on Wednesday, September 24, 2008. Born in Amherst, he was a son of Ted and Ruth (Bureaux) Dwyer. Richard loved music and playing his guitar and played hockey in his youth and enjoyed many sports. Besides his parents, he is survived by a daughter Taylor Vance of Joggins, two brothers Shannon (Karen) of Amherst and Alan of Antigonish, maternal grandfather Leon Bureaux of River Hebert, paternal grandmother Ruth E. Dwyer of Maccan and many cousins and aunts and uncles. Richard was predeceased by his maternal grandmother Louise Bureaux and paternal grandfather Edward Dwyer. Public visitation was held on Sunday, September 28, 2008 from 7-9 p.m. in Campbell's Funeral Home, 98 Church St., Amherst, N.S. A private funeral service will be held.
