Ruth R. Morris ADVOCATE HARBOUR - Ruth R. Morris, 77, of Advocate Harbour, Cumberland County passed away Thursday, March 6, 2008 at South Cumberland Community Care Centre, Parrsboro. Born in Toronto, she was a daughter of the late Frederick and Mabel (Dale) Hewlett. Ruth was employed with Eatons in Toronto for 13 years and later as a Payroll Accountant with General Motors for 28 years. She was a member of the Advocate Baptist Church where she served as treasurer, was a member of the choir, and assisted with the Bible and Sunday Schools. She is survived by her husband, Floyd; a daughter, Cynthia "Cindy" Blakemore, Victoria, BC; sisters, Lillyan Coyle, Toronto; Elizabeth Hollywood (Sydney), Toronto; brothers, Gordon Hewlett (Karen), Palmerston, Ont.; Mel Rose, Serpent River, Ont.; Verne Rose (Neen), Elliott Lake, Ont.; 2 grandchildren; Elizabeth "Lizz" Blakemore and Laura Blakemore, both of Victoria. She was predeceased by sisters, Mary Whitfield; Caryl Gal; a brother, John Rose. Visitation 2-4 p.m. March 7 at Smith's Funeral Home, Parrsboro and 7-9 p.m. March 7 (Friday) at the Advocate Baptist Church, where funeral service was held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, March 8. Rev.
