Sanford S. "Sam" Best PARRSBORO - Sanford S. "Sam" Best, 69, of Board Landing Road, Parrsboro passed away Thursday, August 16, 2007 at Cumberland Regional Health Care Centre, Upper Nappan. Born in Parrsboro, he was a son of the late Frederick and Dorothy (Bishop) Best. He was a retired carpenter. He is survived by daughters, Ellen Bennett (Peter), Parrsboro; Anita LaPointe (Louis), Amherst; brother, Stuart (Lucy), Calgary; 2 grandchildren. He was predeceased by his wife, Evelyn; a son, Gary in infancy; a sister, Elaine. Funeral service was held 2 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 19, 2007 at Smith's Funeral Home, Parrsboro, Lic. Marlene Quinn officiating. Burial was in St. George's Anglican Cemetery, Parrsboro. Memorial donations may be made to the Canadian Diabetes Association or to a charity of choice.
