Millard William Beausejour, age 80, Spruce Street, Plymouth, formerly of Westville, passed away on Monday, April 6, 2009, in the Aberdeen Hospital, New Glasgow.
Born in Detroit, he was a a son of the late Alfred and Myrtle (Cavanaugh) Beausejour.
Millard was the District Sales Manager for the Atlantic Provinces for American Motors. Later, he and his family operated service stations in Glenholme, Kemptown and Alma for several years. He was a member of the United Commercial Travelers and was also a member of St. Paul United Church, Westville.
He is survived by his second wife, Lorna (Hatfield); sons: Keith (June), Alma; Kevin (Debbie), Fox Creek, Alta.; Scott (Linda), Cold Brook, N.S.; Ross, Westville; four grandchildren: Cher, Kimberley, Shawn and Jennifer; and five great-grandchildren. He is also survived by a step-son, Melvin (Joanne) Hatfield, Dartmouth; step-grandchildren: Steven, Kyle, Trevor, John, Jason and Melanie.
Millard was predeceased by his first wife, Joyce (Longbottom), and a sister, Marjorie Cunningham.
Cremation has taken place. Family will receive friends on Wednesday from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. at Eagles Funeral Home, Westville. Memorial service will be held 2 p.m. Thursday from Eagles Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Doug Pilsworth officiating. Interment will follow in Heatherdale Memorial Gardens, Sylvester.
Family flowers only. Donations in his memory may be made to St. Paul United Church or to the Canadian Cancer Society.
